Terms & Conditions
1. General Eligibility
- Applications are open to local not-for-profit organisations, schools, community groups, sporting clubs, and charities operating within the Bass Coast region.
- Applications must clearly demonstrate a benefit to the local community.
- Support is not available to individuals or for-profit ventures.
2. Types of Support
The program provides both Financial and In-Kind support, offered through two tiers of assistance:
Tier 1 – Major Support
- Financial donations over $1,000, or significant in-kind support such as large event catering, room hire, or multi-day use of facilities.
- Applications are reviewed by the General Manager and the Community Support Committee for approval.
- Successful recipients may be asked to provide a brief post-event summary or report outlining how the support was used and its community benefit.
- Acknowledgment of the Wonthaggi Workers Club’s support via social media, newsletters, event signage, or other promotional materials is expected.
Tier 2 – Minor Support
- Donations or in-kind contributions under $1,000, including vouchers, raffle prizes, or catering for small community events.
- Applications are reviewed by the General Manager and relevant department managers.
- Acknowledgment via social media, newsletters, or event signage is appreciated.
3. Funding Frequency
Organisations may apply once per calendar year for financial or in-kind support.
The application form includes the question:
“Has your organisation received support from the Wonthaggi Workers Club in the past 12 months?”
Preference will be given to new applicants or projects that demonstrate broad community benefit.
4. Promotion & Acknowledgment
- Successful applicants are encouraged to acknowledge the Wonthaggi Workers Club in event programs, media releases, signage, or social media posts.
- Any use of the Club’s logo or branding must follow official Brand Guidelines, available upon request.
- All promotional materials using the Club’s logo must be approved by the Club’s Marketing Team prior to publication.
5. Use of Funds or In-Kind Support
- All support must be used solely for the purpose stated in the approved application.
- Any unspent or unused funds must be returned or reallocated with written approval from the Club.
- The Club reserves the right to decline future applications if previous support was misused or not acknowledged appropriately.
6. Assessment & Notification
- Applications are reviewed quarterly by the General Manager and the Club committee.
- Decisions are based on community impact, alignment with Club values, and available budget.
- All applicants will receive written confirmation of the outcome.
7. Publicity
- The Club may publicly recognise program recipients through the Wonthaggi Workers Club website, newsletters, or social media.
- By submitting an application, the applicant agrees that the Club may share their organisation name, project title, and event details for promotional purposes.
8. Right to Review
- The Wonthaggi Workers Club reserves the right to amend or discontinue the Community Support Program and its Terms & Conditions at any time.
